Audioengine introduces gorgeous new B2 Bluetooth speaker

Texas based Audioengine who are known for their high end speakers and audio accessories, have announced a new speaker that has me drooling. It’s the B2 Bluetooth speaker. I know that there are more Bluetooth speakers on the market than there are people in China, but this one is a cut above most. With a 24-bit DAC, extended wireless range, and a aptX Bluetooth audio decoder, this speaker combines the great sound quality of the Audioengine 2+ Powered Desktop Speakers into a great looking hand built wood cabinet that is available in Walnut, Black Ash or Zebrawood. The bonus is that it also happens to be wireless so you can pair it with your computer, tablet or mobile device. The speaker features a detachable magnetic grill if you don’t want to hide the good looking the custom Kevlar woofers and silk tweeters. The Audioengine B2 Premium Bluetooth Speaker is priced at $299 and is available now directly from Audioengine. They even give you a 30 day trial period if you buy direct from them.

I know the audio output port of my iPhone supports stereo.

But does bluetooth? Is there any reason to have two speakers in the wooden box?

Depending on the profile, Bluetooth supports stereo. (Profiles are basically sets of abilities and commands – headsets use one profile, speakers another, keyboards another, etc.)

I have a pair of AudioEngine A2 and love them. I would absolutely consider these if am looking for a bluetooth speaker.

I think these would be perfect for someone with a laptop.
