As a matter of fact, it looks a lot like a wine bottle cork.  Pop the cork end off of the Bottlelight to expose the USB plug that’s used to charge the internal battery.  When you need emergency lighting or even some ambient mood lighting without the risk of candle flames, you just twist the Bottlelight to turn on the “super bright LED” and place the Bottlelight into the neck of an empty wine (or similar) bottle.  They can be used indoors or outdoors, where a candle might be extinguished by the wind.  It’s available at SUCK UK for $15.00.  A couple of these would have been nice to have on hand and charged up earlier this week when the winter storm hit here in Greensboro.

  2. What a cute and useful gadget. I found during power outages, candle burn pretty fast and are dangerous. Oil lanterns emit fumes or an odor that made me have to open the door the last time I used them. I switched over to camping LED lanterns since then.

These are cute, but for $15 they are small compared to a camping lantern for $22. I think the bottle light would be great fun on the porch during the summer.
