I love my Apple TV, but I do have a couple of nitpicky problems.  First of all, that darned remote is very hard to keep up with because it’s so small.  Secondly, the Apple TV itself is so small and light that the heavy power and HDMI cables can pull it out of position in my media cabinet.  Because the Apple remote requires line-of-sight, you can control the ATV when it’s pulled out of position – assuming you can even find the remote.  With the Apple TV Holder from Tinsel & Timber, your ATV will always be pointing in the right direction, and you’ll always know where the remote is, too.  The Holder is made of your choice of sustainably-sourced American walnut (shown) or maple wood; each cutout is lined with 100% Merino wool in your choice of  charcoal, salmon, or cream colors.  Four cork feet on the bottom prevent scratches to your furniture and helps keep the ATV properly positioned.  It’s $49.00.

  2. I put one of those rubberized anti-slip pads for cellphones under my Apple TV. It cost about $2, also I reprogrammed my DirecTV remote and tossed the ATV remote in a drawer.
