If you want a USB flash drive that won’t look like any other you’ve seen, check out the 16GB Pentode USB Flash Drive from the SlavaTech store on Etsy.  The drives are made of copper and an “electron tube made in the USSR in 1981”.  The flash drive is a high-quality SanDisk with SanDisk SecureAccess software.  The drives are available with your choice of blue, red, green, or yellow backlights.  The 16GB drive sells for $69.00.  An 8GB version is available for $59.00, and a 32GB version is $85.00.  Flash drives are also available in other steampunk styles at SlavaTech.

  2. I adore anything steampunky; these are right up my street, plus Im a sucker for flashing LED’s lol. The blue and green are just gorgeous.

  3. Now that is cool! I have a very soft spot for tubes. My “development” in tubes hearkens back to the days in the mid to late 70’s as a teenager, working in a television shop. If anyone knows how hot a horizontal output tube gets when the horizontal oscillator tube goes nuts, knows what I mean. I didn’t know a 6LQ6 could glow cherry red and still work. 🙂
