logitech washable keyboard k310My daughter killed two laptops last year by spilling water on them, so you can imagine that the above photo gives me the shivers.  Spills are nothing to fear with the new Washable Keyboard K310 from Logitech.  This is a wired QWERTY keyboard that works with computers running Windows XP, Vista, or 7.  There are twelve pre-defined function keys that give you quick access to applications like mail, Internet browser, or music controls.  The K310 can actually be handwashed with dish soap and water, and specifications say it can withstand sitting in up to 11.8″ of water.  You don’t have to fear accidentally spilling your soda on your keyboard with the K310 – just take it for a quick rinse!  The K310 Washable Keyboard is available for pre-order in the US for $39.99 at Logitech now.  It should be available in Europe in September.

  2. Does this work with Lenovo laptops running Windows 7? I had to send my laptop back to Lenovo to get KB replaced after I spilled a TINY bit of vodka martini on it. !!!! GRRRRR!

  3. It doesnt replace the laptop keyboard, its an external USB keyboard so it should work on any computers with an USB port, including Lenovo Laptop. A washable keyboard can be good for teenager but a pain to take with you with the laptop. Better would be to get a laptop with “spill proof” keyboard.

  4. @Gray I never said it replaced a laptop keyboard. I was simply saying that the photo of the keyboard under the water stream reminded me of my daughter’s dead laptops.
