I somehow completely missed the iOS feature that allows you to use your iPhone’s camera LED flash to alert you when calls, texts, emails or other notifications are triggered. I’ve often wished that the iPhone had a status LED like most Android phones and now I find out that it actually does. That’s neat, but what happens if your iPhone is lying face up on a desk so that the LED is not visible? The FLASHr LED Flash Notification Case solves that problem in a very clever way. It’s a specially designed iPhone 4/4S case that incorporates a translucent colored bumper that allows the sides of the case to flash when a notification is triggered. It’s a genius idea and the best part is that it doesn’t require battery power to work. It’s all done through a special reflector that “beams” the LED flash to the edges of the case. Don’t worry, you can still use the flash for its main purpose – photography. The FLASHr is a new Kickstarter project that is seeking $75,000 of funding. A minimum pledge of $35 will secure your color combo choice of FLASHr case.
