Hokay, here’s a big productivity killer (unless you happen to be a builder by trade………..maybe). Google Australia in conjunction with LEGO has just released Build, a Chrome browser-based app that allows you to build with LEGO over a map of Australia and New Zealand. Users have access to over 8 trillion blocks and pieces to let their imagination run wild. Announced on Google Australia’s Blog, Lockey McGrath, Product Marketing Manager, Google Australia and New Zealand states:
“Build may look simple, but this collaborative 3D building experience would not have been possible a couple of years ago. It shows how far browser technology has come and how the web is an amazing platform for creativity. We made the bricks with WebGL, which enables powerful 3D graphics right in the browser and demonstrates the upper limit of current WebGL graphics performance. We then mixed in Google Maps (another Aussie invention) so you can put your creation in a LEGO world alongside everyone else’s.”
Google Australia has already build the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Get building Gadgeteers.

Looks like Lego crossed with Sim City! Definitely do not want to install this on a work PC – can imagine it would get addictive very quickly!
@John, that’s the beauty of it, you don’t have to install it, it just runs in Chrome Browser 🙂 Go on, you know you want to 🙂
