Japanese designer Patrick Sung offers a solution to packing all those oddly shaped parcels. Using square or rectangular boxes means using lots of packing and stuffing, but Sung’s Universal Packaging System or UPACKS uses recyclable corrugated cardboard with triangle perforations, making it easy to wrap your package while still maintaining structural integrity.
Not sure if it’s a good idea or not? For one thing you won’t be able to stack your packages easily, and it might be a bit hard with the postage labels and how will postal authorities measure their volume? Innovative: yes, practical….. ?
