pocket body appThis application caught my eye because there are four nurses in my family.  The Pocket Body (Musculoskeletal) application was developed by Pocket Anatomy in association with a leading National University of Ireland Medical School.  It features a fully anatomically-correct human figure with nine layers of musculoskeletal, neurovascular, and internal organ visual content and 30,000 words of learning materials.  It’s designed to aid medical and nursing students in learning anatomy through interactive illustrations, note-taking functions, and 3 kinds of quizzes.  It’s available for iPad (see above link) for $29.99 in the Apple iTunes store; the iPhone/iPod touch version is $19.99.  I think it would make a great holiday gift for students in the medical or biology fields.
