On one hand, it looks like Apple is not interested in adding a keyboard to their iOS devices (iPhone, iPod touch and iPad). Furthermore, according to rumors Apple might reduce the physical buttons, like the home button, in future devices. On the other hand, there is a growing trend of cases with an integrated keyboard for the iPhone and iPad devices, including ThinkGeek TK-421 iPhone keyboard, Nuu MiniKey for iPhone, BoxWave Keyboard Buddy Case for iPhone, Clamcase for iPad and AIDACASE Folio Deluxe for iPad. Rocketfish has joined this long list with the iCapsule Keyboard Case for iPad. The iPad can be used both in portrait and in landscape modes, and then folds up into a hardshell case with an integrated carrying handle. The iCapsule uses two AA batteries to power the Bluetooth keyboard. With all of the keyboard accessory solutions, it will be interesting to see if Apple will surprise us with a Pro version of their iOS devices that will come with an integrated keyboard. What do you think?
