They look like bullet casings on the outside and earphones on the inside. I’ve owned a pair of the 18k for 2 months and fly all the time. Never had a problem. I’m sure they look like plain old earbuds going through the x-ray.
I guarantee that my kid would be expelled from school under their “zero tolerance policy” for carrying these…
