Epson and Thinxtream have collaborated to produce a printing app for Apple iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The PrintJinni app allows you to print email attachments to any Wi-Fi-enabled Epson printer on your network – no PC required. You simply set up your email account (Gmail™, Microsoft® Exchange, Apple MobileMe™, AOL®, and other IMAP-based email accounts) in the PrintJinni app. You’ll be able to print Word, Excel, and Powerpoint (Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007), JPEG and PDF files from email attachments. The app is expected to sell for $9.99, but right now it’s $6.99 in iTunes. The price of the app includes a 1-year subscription to the PrintJinni Cloud Services for file conversion for printing. It also “includes free upgrade to iPad-native printing support scheduled for release in fall 2010.”
