Olive Introduces First HD Music Server Under $1000

Olive Music announces the O3HD music server for $999. This server has been designed to be a stand alone hassle free solution for accessing your music collection through your home stereo without needing a PC, software installation or network setup. It features a color touchscreen, internet radio, iPad/iPhone app control and storage capacity up to 1500 CDs or 5000 HD sounds. Olive will even load your CDs for you (the first 100 are free).

    This kind of seems dumb to me. I always have a PC running, so I’d much rather just use something like AppleTV, personally.

    Does this unit have a remote control? Can it output video information to a television?

    I like the idea of a dedicated music player, but $1000 is more than I can afford. I’ll keep looking.
