Philips have recently announced that their all new GoGear portable media player will be hitting the shops within the next couple of  months.   The all new Philips ‘Muse’ will come with all the features of the GoGear Connect, but will also have HDMI – complete with 720p video output, all packed into its sleek aluminum casing.

There’s also a 3.2inch HVGA screen, support for all your lossless FLAC files, an FM radio and BBC iPlayer support.  The headphones included will also have added noise isolation, while Philips FullSound digital processing technology promises to deliver the best sound from compressed MP3s.  Plus, Philips now include the Songbird player!

The Muse will be available in 8Gb, 16Gb or 32Gb versions, with a MicroSD slot for even more expansion.

The current word on pricing is around the £120 ($170) mark, and although no precise date has been promised yet, sources are saying it will hit the UK and US markets around April/May.
