Nubrella – a hands free umbrella

The Nubrella is a very clever remake of the ordinary umbrella. Itโ€™s a bubble shaped cover that you can strap under your shoulders so that you can even use it hands free. As long as you donโ€™t mind looking like Dark Helmet from the movie Space Balls, this $40 product will keep you dry and warm while walking and biking in the rain.

Maybe so, but how silly do you look while:

    – or driving a bike , http://www.ligfietsers.be/afbeeldingen/Mistral/challenge_mistral_002.jpg

The ‘only’ problem is that’s still quit big when folded up. Would I buy one? Probably not ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Saw this product on the TV program Sharks where people can make their pitch to a group of investors for money to push forward their products.

  4. Kinda cool… makes me think of the “Big Daddy” from Bioshock. I like the fact that it would let you use a gadget even in the rain, but I can’t help but think that there are places where this would be less convenient than a normal umbrella… two people can’t huddle under one Nubrella, for example, and I can’t imagine how you get out from inside one of these things and into a car without getting wet in the process.
