They are made from re-purposed / recycled audio CDs. More than 9 billion CDs are produced annually and the ones that end up in a landfill take over 450 years to decompose. This company actually invites you to send them your unwanted CDs so that they can create earrings, pendants, barrettes and ornaments from them.
