I just made the switch form Verizon DSL to Cox Cable…and now I am wondering why I waited so long! Using Verizon was truly becoming an ordeal, but it was still better than dial-up – but just barely! For instance, it got to where I would have to reset the DSL modem up to six or seven times a day. Then there were days where the service was extremely slow or not working at all. I would call Verizon and they would tell me that they were experiencing troubles in my area. It was always nice to hear that it wasn't just me, but it was frustrating that the “troubles” were happening at all.
So far Cox seems way faster, and I haven't had to reset the modem at all. Keep your fingers crossed for me that things stay that way.
