These lamps aren’t going to appeal to everyone and won’t fit into every decor, but I’d love to have one of these functional lamps. The BOSS Lamps Vintage and Industrial Custom Lighting shop on Etsy creates these one-of-a-kind lamps with a built-in charging station. Each lamp has a power outlet in it with two USB ports and one 15A outlet that can be used for other small electronic devices or even a laptop. They also function as a lamp, using up to a 40W bulb. Prices range from $65 to $125 for a lamp with two of the charging strips in the base.

Like a boss, with no taste. This look like an electrical outlet crudely bolted onto a lamp with no regard for asthetics or even color-coordination. Wouldn’t it be nicer and cheaper to just have an multi-plug extension cable with a USB charger plugged in, positioned *behind* a regular lamp ?
You can build that lamp yourself for around $25.
