Keep Your Coffee at the Perfect Drinking Temperature

This is an indiegogo funding project.  The ThermoBuffer is “the world’s first thermodynamic mug”, and it will reportedly keep your coffee at a perfect drinking temperature for up to 3 hours.  Instead of a dual-wall structure for insulation, the ThermoBuffer is has a triple wall.  The gap between the inner walls is filled with water, and the outer gap is a vacuum.  The water layer acts as a heat sink to absorb heat from the too-hot coffee as it’s poured into the mug, which cools it to a comfortable temperature for drinking.  The heated water then acts as an insulating layer to keep the coffee at an optimal temperature as you drink it.  There are still 23 days in the funding period at the time of this writing, so you still have time to help this project meet its goals.  You’ll need to pledge a minimum of $30 for one mug – unless you act very quickly and can claim one of the few remaining early bird specials at $25.  Shipment is expected six months after the funding goal is reached.
