Announced on Vodafone UK‘s blog site, the Booster Brolly combines your traditional umbrella with a high gain antenna and low power signal repeater to enhance phone reception for both the the brolly user and those around them. The umbrella also incorporates 12 solar panels for powering your phone via a handsfree cradle and an LED torch for night time navigation. The prototype was created in partnership with the University College London and will be trialled at the Isle of Wight Festival on June 22. With all these functions and with a carbon fibre pole, all up this eco green device weighs in at 800g.
