The weeSteady is a polished stainless steel grip that attaches to a standard sized tripod socket providing extra stabilization while recording video with small point and shoot cameras, iPhones and other smart phones. Gripping the weeSteady as shown in that first picture provides for a more natural shooting posture, which translates to less shake. To use it with your small point and shoot camera, you just screw it into the tripod mount. Smart phone and iPhone users will need a tripod adapter for their device that is not included with the weeSteady. This is a crowd funded project on indigogo. They are seeking $9000 to bring the product to market. I think it looks really slick, but I’m not sure I’d want to carry it around with me. What do you guys think?

I’d love one. makes for a perfect self-defense tool, think knuckle-buster and this: http://www.pimall.com/nais/dagger.html . all disguised in the shape of a nice photo accessory. (also, as a LEO worth his salt, I’d confiscate that on the spot regardless of what reasons the bearer give me.)
