If you still have a car with a cassette player, the USB Cassette MP3 Player from Brando looks like an easy way to bring new life to an old school gadget. Seems a waste of money. Why not spend $10 on a cassette-to-3.5mm adaptor and use your existing MP3 player – which is what I do every day to listen to my iPod Touch in my car.
I’ve read somewhere that the internal battery doesn’t charge inside the car deck player. So when the battery runs out, you have to charge it up again before using it in the car.
I saw a product like this on the market about 10 years ago!
Now if this charged from the cassette gears spinning, we’d be gettin’ somewhere. You could also make it skip to the next song if you pressed fast forward on the cassette player.
