It’s Saturday and since it is a least 10,000 bazillion degrees outside, I’m down in my basement surfing for… GSM phones :o) Verizon is about to be history for me folks! A couple weeks ago I noticed that the Verizon tower less than .5 miles from my house had new equipment on it. It had to be either Sprint or Cingular, so I bought a beat up old unlocked Nokia 3595 from eBay and then a friend sent me a Cingular SIM that he had never activated. I was able to activate the SIM and the signal strength is even better than my Treo 650 with Verizon. Yay! I’ve been wanting to switch to GSM forever. Now we can do more mobile phone reviews. :o)
Sooooo, I think I’ll be putting up my Treo 650 on eBay within the next day or so. I don’t think I want to get the Cingular version. I just wanna have a small phone for awhile. I’ve been looking at the Sony Ericsson S710a. Anyone have any comments about this particular phone or any other small ones that I should check out?
