My Samsung SPH-i550 is syncing now!
Those of you that have been following the saga know that it came with no
software and the i500’s would not work. Julie sent a copy of her Treo 650
software disk and after trimming off all of the Treo specific utilities and
applications (which caused multiple fatal exceptions) and installing the i550
drivers from the Samsung site, I finally got everything to sync like a charm.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love this phone?
Now I almost wish that the i550 was GSM, so that I could rent a SIM card
enabling it work in the UK. My family will be there August 2nd – 13th, once
again based in Edinburgh. But this time we plan on exploring as much of Scotland
& England as is possible. I am really looking forward to going back; an added
bonus will be escaping these 100º+ Texas
days.
