I'm having PTK (Phototherapeutic Keratectomy) on my left eye this afternoon. I have a genetic disease called Corneal Dystrophy which causes little spots on my corneas. I know I'm a hopeless geek when the fact that I'm having a surgical procedure doesn't bother me as much as the fact that I won't be able to surf the web, watch TV or horror upon horrors, read email tonight and probably tomorrow! EEP! How am I going to survive??? Of course my gadgeteer mind has been thinking of things I can do that won't require me to use my eye… I can listen to my iPod. I can listen to Audible.com books on my Pocket PC. I can call Judie and bug her. I can have someone read me the latest Harry Potter book that I should be getting in the mail Saturday. And then there's always sleep I guess…

Have a good weekend!
