Cardboard cutting is a practical reason to carry a replaceable-blade knife: when the edge wears out, you replace the blade rather than sharpen it. The TRIVISA Puppy-GM Folding Utility Knife packages that approach with a Micarta handle, pocket clip, and crossbar lock. Its distinguishing feature is the combination of a replaceable cutting edge and the construction details associated with everyday-carry (EDC) folders.

A folding cutter for the package pile
TRIVISA lists the following dimensions and weight:
- Closed length: 3.6 inches (91.7 mm)
- Overall length: 6.96 inches (176.7 mm)
- Weight: 2.15 ounces (61.1 g)
Its pocket clip provides a carry option, and the knife folds to 3.6 inches.
The Amazon listing specifies a pocket clip. That gives you a way to attach the knife to a pocket instead of
How the replacement system works
Amazon describes a screw-secured blade with directional indicators that show which way to turn the screw for tightening and loosening.
The crossbar lock and blade-retaining screw do different jobs. The lock secures the folding assembly in its open position; the screw holds the replaceable blade in place. Operating the folding mechanism isn’t the same as releasing the cutting edge, an important distinction when moving from a conventional pocket knife to this design.
The Amazon listing says five replacement blades are included.
Check the replacement-blade fit and refill price before buying; the linked sources don’t confirm a standard utility-blade match or whether changes need a separate tool.
Steel and supporting hardware
TRIVISA lists a 2.62-inch SK5 blade with a stonewashed finish, while Amazon also identifies the blade steel as SK5.
The Amazon listing describes a stainless steel blade frame with an extended reinforcement design. TRIVISA also lists ceramic ball bearings.
Micarta, color, and safe handling
Micarta is a resin-bonded composite commonly used for knife handles. On the Puppy-GM, it offers a material choice beyond a basic plastic cutter. Handle material alone doesn’t establish wet-weather grip or comfort during extended use.
The linked Amazon variant is selected as green, and its specification table identifies a Micarta handle. A black version is also available.
Before cutting, check that the lock is engaged and the replaceable blade is properly secured. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions when changing blades.
