A changing expression with everyday watch basics

Two small windows give the round dial its eyes. Their shapes change as the date advances, creating expressions Casio describes as resembling emoticons. The watch uses three analog hands and a date display, not a digital screen.

The watch has shock-resistant construction, mineral glass, and 10-bar water resistance. Casio lists a resin case measuring 43.5 × 42.4 × 11.5mm and a weight of 36g.

With battery life rated by Casio at approximately three years, the BGA-20K doesn’t need a daily charging routine. Casio also specifies accuracy of ±20 seconds per month and a low-battery warning. The resin strap accommodates wrists measuring 125–180mm.

The BGA-20K-1A combines black and silver, the BGA-20K-4A uses brown, red, and pink, and the BGA-20K-7A pairs white with silver.

All three official listings give the same dimensions, weight, water-resistance rating, and battery life. The supplied holder is included with each model, so you don’t need to buy a separate accessory to try the bag-charm setup.

The watch case is removable. Take it out of the supplied resin wrist strap and place it in the included holder.

The holder has an ear-shaped hood and its own strap for attaching it to a handbag or backpack. Casio also suggests using it as a small desk clock.

Casio warns against fitting a metal strap because it can damage the holder’s strap hole. It also notes that the glossy holder may show streaks or wrinkle-like surface patterns resulting from manufacturing.

Wrist-worn use keeps the dial within easy reach; as a bag charm, you’ll need to position it to read the time. Casio advises storing the holder away from direct sunlight and excessively hot or humid conditions.

Japan pricing and availability

Casio lists all three models for an October 2026 release in Japan, each priced at ¥12,100 including tax, roughly US$77. Think of that as a handy dollar estimate rather than an official U.S. price. If you’re planning to import one, allow for the exchange rate and any shipping or import fees in your budget.

For buyers in Japan, Casio’s listings offer color-specific ordering options: as of October 9, 2026, the black BGA-20K-1A is listed for preorder, while the pink BGA-20K-4A and white BGA-20K-7A display “Add to bag.” Choose your preferred color and check its delivery estimate when ordering.

Outside Japan, watch for updates from Casio on regional availability. The Japanese listings don’t specify a North American release date.

Who should consider the BGA-20K

With a strap designed for wrists measuring 125–180mm and an included bag-charm holder, the BGA-20K gives you two ways to enjoy its changing expressions. Check your wrist measurement to see whether the strap’s size range works for you.

The BGA-20K is for buyers who want an analog watch they can also carry as a bag charm. It doesn’t offer fitness tracking or phone alerts; the date-driven expressions and removable holder are the draw.
