A bigger laptop screen is easier to appreciate when you don’t have to carry a much heavier machine to get it. Lenovo’s first Googlebook pairs a 15.3-inch OLED touchscreen with a starting weight of 1.29kg, about 2.84 pounds, and an announced starting price of $1,099.99. U.S. availability is scheduled for October 4, 2026.
That puts the Googlebook 15 in an interesting spot for anyone who wants room for documents, browser windows, and Android apps without moving to a bulky laptop. It runs Googlebook OS, which combines an Android foundation with desktop technology from ChromeOS, and brings Google’s phone integration and Gemini tools into a metal chassis just 15.9mm thick.

More room for work, with ports to match
The screen has a 2880 × 1800 resolution and a 16:10 shape, giving documents and web pages more vertical room than a similarly sized 16:9 panel. The panel is rated for 500 nits of brightness, covers the DCI-P3 color gamut, and supports refresh rates up to 120Hz. That refresh rate can vary with the app, content, and device settings, so it isn’t a promise that everything will run at 120Hz.
Lenovo pairs the display with a large 150 × 95mm haptic touchpad, a backlit keyboard, and four Dolby Atmos speakers. The port selection is useful if your desk still has a mixture of accessories: there’s a Thunderbolt 4 connection on each side, plus USB-A, HDMI 2.0, and a headphone/microphone jack. You can connect a conventional USB accessory or an HDMI display without immediately reaching for a hub.
Inside is an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor with an NPU rated for up to 47 TOPS. Lenovo’s announced options include 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x memory and 256GB or 512GB of SSD storage; those are configuration choices, not a description of every unit at the starting price. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 round out the wireless connections, with a compatible router needed to use Wi-Fi 7.
The Glowbar on the lid shows battery and charging status even when the laptop’s closed. There are also fingerprint and facial sign-in options, plus a physical shutter for the 5MP webcam. The 70Wh battery is rated by Lenovo for up to 12.5 hours under its internal test conditions. Brightness, wireless use, software, and workload will change how long it lasts between charges.
The phone connection gives the bigger screen a purpose
Googlebook OS includes desktop Chrome with extensions alongside Android apps. Its phone features let you view and open files from a connected Android phone, stream phone apps into desktop windows, and continue supported tasks on the laptop. If you start something on your phone and want a keyboard and more screen space to finish it, that’s the connection these machines are built around.
Gemini Intelligence adds another set of shortcuts. Magic Pointer brings contextual assistance to the cursor, with examples including combining images into a poster or adding a date to a calendar. Rambler uses a dedicated dictation key to turn spoken thoughts into formatted text, removing filler words and organizing what you’ve said. These AI features have age, language, and regional restrictions; Gemini Intelligence and Magic Pointer require an internet connection, and generated results still need checking.
A Lenovo AI Mouse adds a button for Gemini and customizable controls. Lenovo’s own U.S. product page includes the mouse, though buyers should check the specific retailer bundle rather than assume every configuration includes it.
Check the configuration and the offer
The announced $1,099.99 starting price isn’t the same as every store’s checkout price. At the time of writing, Google’s Googlebook shopping page advertises the 16GB/512GB model from $1,099, while Lenovo’s own U.S. site lists its 16GB/512GB preorder configuration at $1,149.99. Check the seller, included accessories, and final total before ordering.
Eligible purchases include a 12-month Google AI Pro trial with 5TB of cloud storage and expanded Gemini access. The offer has country and account eligibility requirements, and it must be redeemed by March 31, 2027. After the trial, it renews at $19.99 a month or the then-current price unless canceled. Other bundled app offers have their own durations and terms.

Lenovo’s combination is most appealing if you want more room for side-by-side work and regularly carry your laptop between places. The 15.3-inch display, under-3-pound starting weight, and full-size ports give that choice a practical basis, with the Android phone connection adding a reason to consider Googlebook specifically.
