She wanted me to build it because I am an accomplished DIYer with skills and grand ideas, and she knew I would go all out. However, what I did not tell her is that because I have been building and remodeling around our home since we purchased it, I am getting tired. So, I was so happy when I got the opportunity to review the Ohwill Kitchen Island Cart with Trash Can Storage, Kitchen Storage Cabinet on Wheels, which will add enough convenience she wants and keep me from adding another project to my list. Assembly, Installation, Setup
I started assembling the Ohwill Kitchen Island Cart with Trash Can Storage, Kitchen Storage Cabinet on Wheels at night, just after 10 PM, and after a long and challenging day at work. I was tired when I started, and I did take my time and a few 2-minute breaks. When I stopped, it was just around 4 am, and everything had been assembled except for the doors and the drawers. This island comes with lots of parts and the biggest issue I encountered was the sets of similar screws, packaged together in plastic bags with multiple letters on the package. For example, one package had 3 types of screws, two of them being almost identical, and the package was marked something like K, H, L. I may not be recalling the letters correctly, but instead of packaging the 3 types of screws in 3 separate bags, they were together. This was the same of other sets of screws. Simply making separate packages would have sped up the assembly process and alleviated unnecessary frustration. In addition, I eventually used my tools because I did not like the tools that were included. Nevertheless, as an accomplished DIYer, I got it done. Performance
The Ohwill Kitchen Island Cart with Trash Can Storage, Kitchen Storage Cabinet on Wheels is a versatile and practical addition to any kitchen, and a good solution for added prepping/counter space as well as a place for others to hang out with you, either to dine or just to chat. While assembling it, it seemed like it would or could be unstable, but once fully assembled, it is as solid as a rock and poses no threat of tipping over. It has a simple, clean look that will work in any kitchen. It is available in black and white to fit in with most decor. The lower storage space is very useful since it is designed with adjustable shelves, and the towel rack offers a storage choice for these things that always seem annoying and out of place. The upper drawers also offer much sought-after storage. The wheels are lockable and, when unlocked, they roll smoothly while remaining stable. We have not yet used the waste basket compartment since we continue to look for the perfect-sized basket. In addition, we have decided that keeping recyclable material will be better suited there as opposed to food waste, which may present an odor.
My only gripe with this kitchen island it that it comes in numerous parts that makes assembly quite long, and several different types of screws were packaged together making mi=find them and mixing them up an unwanted challenge.
Overall, we love the island, and it is now a happy part of our kitchen.
Final thoughts
The Ohwill Kitchen Island Cart with Trash Can Storage, Kitchen Storage Cabinet on Wheels is a great addition to our kitchen and is functional enough to solve several issues like storage, prepping surface, etc. I do think it can be packaged better for easier assembly, but otherwise, we are pleased with it.

What needs to be improved?
- There are so many screw types and sizes that they should be packaged separately
- It is a lot of pieces to assemble
- A better tool kit should be included

The problem with this design is you need at least 2 containers, one for trash and one for recycle. I got a Wayfair version without the trash pullout. I didn’t put in the shelves or the drawers above them, allowing me to put in two larger trash bins and deposit trash through the open drawer areas.
