Laundry rooms have to do a lot in a small amount of space. A household may need to handle bedding, towels, uniforms, workout clothes, and everyday laundry, but still be working with a compact room, an apartment utility closet, or a renovation plan with limited width. LG’s new 25-inch WashTower is designed for that middle ground.

The vertically integrated appliance combines a washer and dryer in one structure, joining LG’s existing 24-inch and 27-inch WashTower sizes. LG says the new model can simultaneously wash and dry separate loads of up to 20 kilograms each in a compact 25-inch form factor. The idea is straightforward: provide substantial laundry capacity without requiring the footprint of a wider side-by-side pair.

A New Option Between Compact and Full-Size Laundry Systems

The new 25-inch model expands LG’s WashTower lineup with a size intended to suit more homes. The 24-inch version remains an option for especially constrained spaces, while the 27-inch model serves households looking for a larger format. The 25-inch version gives renovation planners and homeowners another point of comparison when measuring cabinetry, doorways, and available wall space.

The WashTower’s main advantage is its independent dual-drum setup. One drum can wash while the other dries, allowing separate loads to move through the laundry routine at the same time. That arrangement can help households stay on top of larger laundry days, particularly when several loads need to be completed in sequence.

LG’s Center Control panel is positioned between the washer and dryer. The 6.8-inch touch LCD lets users select programs, adjust settings, and check cycle status from a single central location. This design keeps the dryer controls within easier reach than a traditional stacked pair with controls at the top of the appliance.

Simultaneous Washing and Drying Supports a Faster Routine

LG says the new WashTower can wash and dry separate loads of up to 20 kilograms each at the same time. That capacity is particularly relevant for homes where laundry includes larger items such as towels, bedding, and seasonal clothing, alongside the regular weekly rotation.

The benefit is not only the stated drum size. Independent operation allows the washer and dryer to work together as part of a continuous process. A finished wash load can move to the dryer while a fresh load begins washing, which can make it easier to manage laundry without dedicating an entire day to it.

Maximum capacity always depends on the load and cycle. Bulky bedding, delicate fabrics, and mixed loads require different approaches, so the 20-kilogram figure is best treated as LG’s stated capacity rather than a target for every cycle. Still, the combination of separate drums and a compact vertical design gives the product a clear place in homes that need regular laundry throughput.

LG’s Fast Wash-to-Dry Program Addresses Time Pressure

The WashTower includes a Prepare to Dry feature that LG says can wash and dry a three-kilogram load in 120 minutes. This is useful for situations where a smaller load of clothing needs to be cleaned and ready within the same afternoon.

LG states that the result was tested by Intertek in April 2026 using a three-kilogram real-use load, the Cotton wash cycle, Prepare to Dry, and the Cotton dry cycle. The company notes that time can vary based on fabric type, load size, and cycle settings. That context matters, but the stated test result provides a useful reference point for the type of load and program the feature is designed to support.

TurboWash and Turbo Dry are also included. LG says TurboWash uses water jets and rapid drum movements to help shorten washing time, while Turbo Dry is designed to reduce drying time. These features are geared toward people who want more control over how they manage a busy laundry schedule, whether that means cleaning uniforms before the next school day or preparing towels and linens for guests.

AI Features Are Intended to Simplify Cycle Decisions

LG’s AI Wash 2.0 is designed to analyze load weight, fabric characteristics, and soil level to tailor the washing and rinsing process. AI Dry assesses fabric type, load size, and humidity changes to help determine drying time. AI Time Sensing is designed to provide a more precise cycle-length estimate as the appliance learns from usage data.

For users, the practical goal is less guesswork. Instead of selecting the same cycle for every load, the appliance is designed to use its sensors to make more informed adjustments. LG says AI Dry can also help deliver more even drying for loads under five kilograms made from similar fabric types.

LG notes that not all fabrics are detected and that AI Dry should be used with similar fabric types. That still leaves the feature well suited to everyday loads of similar clothing, towels, or cotton garments. Delicate items and mixed fabrics should continue to be sorted according to their care labels.

The appliance also includes an AI Laundry Report. LG says it can show estimated load size, detergent usage, and energy consumption on the Center Control display after a cycle. When connected to the LG ThinQ app on a compatible mobile device, users can check related notifications and laundry status remotely.

A More Integrated Look for Modern Homes

LG’s Flat design, Hidden Hinge Door, and Push Detergent Box give the WashTower a streamlined exterior. Its single vertical structure and central controls reduce visual clutter, making it easier to plan a cohesive laundry area.

LG says DUAL Inverter HeatPump technology supports drying performance and improves energy efficiency. Regional energy labels and operating data will be needed to assess potential running costs.

Who Should Watch for the New 25-Inch WashTower?

The new model could appeal to families and homeowners planning a renovation who need substantial laundry capacity but have limited floor width. Its stated 20-kilogram capacities, independently operating drums, and centrally positioned controls give it a practical advantage for people who want a more organized laundry setup.

LG says the new WashTower will begin rolling out in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America later in 2026, with additional markets following from 2027. LG’s announcement does not specify retail pricing, market-specific model numbers, full dimensions, installation requirements, or local energy ratings yet.

For now, the 25-inch WashTower is an encouraging addition to LG’s laundry range. It gives shoppers another option between compact and larger WashTower models, with a focus on capacity, accessible controls, and a cleaner use of space.
