NEWS – When it comes to popular EDC gear, most people focus on the obvious – wallets, pocket knives, and flashlights. Let’s add a compass to the list. The COMANDI titanium compass thermometer 2-in-1 multi-tool is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter and I think it’s worth a look.
What is it?
The COMANDI is a waterproof oil-filled compass that is made of CNC-machined Gr5 titanium.
Why do I like it?
I like the COMANDI 2-in-1 compass because it isn’t just a compass, but it’s also a thermometer. One side of the COMANDI is the compass and the other side is the thermometer. You have the option of choosing between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
I also like that you can buy it in either a single-ear or double-ear style. The “ears” are just another word for the built-in carabiner that lets you clip the compass to your belt or backpack.
The compass has 5 tritium slots on each side so you can trick it out with some glow-in-the-dark bling. They also offer luminous vials as an alternate option.
