The OtterBox Defender Series Case for iPad offers serious protection for your iPad. There’s a silicone cover that protects the body of your iPad at all times. The cover has grip pad areas at the top and bottom that improve your hold and prevent the iPad from sliding around when it’s flat on a table top. Silicone plugs cover all ports and buttons. There’s a polycarbonate plate that snaps over the front for screen protection; simply snap it on the back while you’re using the iPad. The polycarbonate cover also has a built-in stand for watching videos hands-free. You can even remove a portion of the case so the iPad will still fit into the Apple docking stations. The case isn’t waterproof, but Otterbox says it is drop, bump, shock, and dust intrusion protection. It’s $89.95 from OtterBox.

can the case to lower angles? Like say the angle that the apple case allows?
Hope to see something like this for the new iphone
@turn.self.off I’m sorry, but I don’t have any more information about the case. I found the OtterBox while surfing to find something interesting to post about, and all I know is what is on the product page.
The design on the page seems to suggest that that’s the only way it locks down, alas. However, you could hold it in the proper position… or get another stand, if you were so inclined. It’s very expensive for the price, and basically makes it 2.5 times as thick, IIRC. But it looks very protective.
I will definately get this protective case. Note: If you have kids these cases are puuurrrfect!
My experience is with the iphone 3gs cover. While finding it totally awesome protection it is very chunky. This is good if you think the iphone feels fragile. I also have another screen protector underneath and I think having two screen protectors may be causing moisture to collect between the two protectors.
Regardless when I purchase an ipad (next gen) if I can hold out that long 🙂
Yeah…the OtterBox Defender a pretty awesome case.
Make it completely waterproof by putting it inside the OtterBox laptop case:
