Well… most people who get motion sick when using a VR set, will also get sick when sitting down, because the sensory input from the vestibular system does not match the motion percieved by the eyes. These shoes will not resolve that problem. There are better ways to spend $400.
It appears from their video, their claim is “you bounce your head with each ‘step’ in the shoes” so those who get motion-sick from the discrepancy between stationary inner-ears and perceived motion through the eyes would get this resolved. I guess it’s possible, if you’re doing a game where you’re “walking”, but unless you can sync up your head with the motion on the screen I doubt it will work.
