NEWS – I’m a fan of zip wallets because they keep all of your wallet’s cargo protected and less likely to fall out and get lost. Chrome Industries is mainly known for its durable, urban-style bags, and we’ve reviewed several products from Chrome here at The Gadgeteer (plus we love wallets), so here’s a quick look at the Chrome Zip Wallet.
The Chrome Zip Wallet’s styling is right in line with that of many of Chrome’s other products, especially their messenger bags, sling bags, and backpacks. Its exterior is made from a combination of 1000D TPE Tarp on the front, 1050D Nylon on the back, and a Tarpaulin liner interior The wallet’s contents are accessed via an “around-the-horn” zipper on three sides, which helps keep the contents secure. It also has a corded zipper pull with a rubberized tab for a better grip.
Inside, the Chrome Zip Wallet has three card compartments on the left side that can hold several cards and some cash, and a zippered stash pocket on the right for coins or other small, loose items. While this is not what I’d characterize as a “minimalist” wallet at 5″ high, 3.5″ wide, .75″ thick, it will hold quite a few items and could even hold some of your smaller EDC gadgets as well. The Chrome Zip Wallet is available from ChromeIndustries.com or Amazon for $30.
