The Gravida’s Nurse is marketed as a prenatal education device for expectant mothers to use to view educational material, but it’s really just a touch screen digital media player. It has a 4.5 x 3.35 inch color display with a resolution of 1600 x 1200, a touch screen, an all in one flash card slot, and a USB slot that you can use to load video, audio and image files. The device itself does not come with any media at all. It’s up to you to supply them. It supports video formats (AVI, MPEG, DivX, RMVB), audio formats (WAV, MP3, WMA) and image formats (JPEG, GIF, PNG). You can buy the player at Uxsight for less than $23.

1600×1200 for 23 bucks? Something isn’t adding up there.
@Gary That’s exactly what I thought. But I was chatting with the guy from Uxsight and got those specs directly from him.
I can imagine 160×120 given the size and price considering what the resolution of some of the digiframes. Perhaps a translation issue?
“It can store many related knowledge of the Prenatal Training, pictures and voice, help and prompt the Gravida mother must accept the prenatal education.”
I don’t get a warm-fuzzy about this item…
