I swear by these. I buy a new pair for every new pair of running shoes I purchase, and put them on before I even use them once outdoors. Yes, you can transfer them to new shoes if you need to be frugal, but since you tend to cut off the aglets to make them fit, it can be hard to lace them into a new pair of shoes. I never have to worry about my laces coming untied during a run and they look like they supposed to come with the shoe, so you don’t get any funny looks.
