An RTX 5070 Ti gaming laptop at $1,599 is the whole story on Amazon’s early Black Friday board right now. The MSI Vector 16 HX AI undercuts every other RTX 5070 Ti laptop we’ve checked by hundreds of dollars, and the price buys the full-power configuration, not a detuned one. Two more machines earn their spots below it. The rest of the board doesn’t, and we’ll show you that part too.
The board itself is short this year, and that’s worth knowing before you shop it. Most of the big gaming nameplates we checked aren’t running early discounts, and the cuts cluster on a handful of machines. We checked the usual suspects one by one against what they cost today. Two laptops make the cut on what they cost and what they carry, and a third is the cheapest verified route into an RTX 5080 we’ve found this week. Everything else we checked is a listing waiting for a better week.
MSI Vector 16 HX AI: RTX 5070 Ti power at $1,599

The Vector pairs Intel’s Core Ultra 7 255HX, a 20-core HX chip, with the RTX 5070 Ti running up to 140W with Dynamic Boost and 12GB of GDDR7 behind it. The full-power draw is the point: the GPU isn’t detuned to hit the price, and DLSS 4 frame generation plus 12GB of GDDR7 is the spec set a 1440p external monitor wants.
Price: $1,599.00

The compromises are the screen and the storage. The built-in panel is a 16-inch FHD+ IPS display at 144Hz with 45% NTSC color coverage: fine for gaming, and color coverage is the trade: the QHD+ panels on pricier Vectors cover more of the spectrum. The 512GB SSD fills up fast at modern install sizes. The 16GB of DDR5 sits in two slots and upgrades to 96GB, so memory isn’t the wall here. You’re paying for the GPU and the chip here, and at this price that’s the right trade.
Acer Nitro V 17: the biggest screen here at $1,129.99

The Nitro V 17 is the cheapest verified deal on the board, and it happens to carry the biggest display: 17.3 inches of FHD IPS at 180Hz. The RTX 5060 and Ryzen 5 240 won’t chase the Vector, but at $1,129.99 you’re paying entry-level money for a current-generation GPU, a fast panel, and a screen with real room on it. The cut is a modest $70 under the listing’s own $1,199.99 reference price. Modest and real beats deep and invented.
Price: $1,129.99 $1,199.99 (save $70)

The Ryzen 5 240 is a six-core chip, and the 512GB SSD is tight. Neither changes what this machine is: a big-screen 1080p rig for buyers whose budget stops at $1,130, and the only one at that budget we’d point to right now.
GIGABYTE Gaming A16 Pro: the RTX 5080 step-up at $2,199

If the budget stretches past $2,000, this is where it should land. The Gaming A16 Pro runs an RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7, 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD, and a 16-inch 2560×1600 IPS panel at 165Hz with full sRGB coverage. It’s the cheapest verified RTX 5080 laptop we’ve found this week, and it isn’t a stripped configuration built to make the price work: the memory and storage are the sizes you’d spec yourself.
Price: $2,199.00

Two honest limits. The 5080 here runs at up to 115W, short of the full-power draw the thickest 5080 machines allow, and the Core 7 240H is a mainstream chip, a step below the HX processors in the Vector and the Strix. The 32GB of LPDDR5x is onboard, so what you buy is what you keep. The offer also runs through a marketplace seller, so confirm the seller is still Snow Bell at checkout before you pay. None of that changes the math: at $2,199, this is the step-up pick for buyers who were about to spend flagship money anyway.
The names we’re skipping, and why
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a great laptop sitting at $2,059.99 on Amazon. The Legion 5 OLED is no deal today either. The ROG Strix G16 runs the same RTX 5070 Ti as the Vector and costs $2,755.16, over $1,100 more for a better screen and a faster chip. None of those are deals today, so none of them are on this list. If your heart’s set on one of them, our call is to wait: Black Friday is three weeks out, and none of these three earns a buy at today’s prices.
Buy the Vector if you game at 1440p and want the strongest GPU your money reaches this month. Step up to the GIGABYTE if the budget passes $2,000 and you want RTX 5080 headroom with the memory and storage already right. Buy the Nitro if the budget is the budget. Everything else we checked is a listing waiting for a better price, and we’ll update this list the day one shows up.
