Kizer’s Drop Bear 292 AirTi is a small folder built to disappear in a pocket. It pairs a 2.92-inch Böhler M390 drop point blade with milled aluminum scales over skeletonized titanium liners, and the Silver version weighs 2.02 ounces. The handle is just 0.31 inches thick.

A Slim Carry With a Button Liner Lock

Closed, the knife is 3.98 inches long. The aluminum scales are 3D CNC milled with a scale-like texture for grip, and the deep-carry clip keeps the knife low in the pocket. The clip isn’t reversible, so it’s set up for right-side carry; Kizer sells a separate left-handed version in blue.
The lock is Kizer’s Button Liner Lock. It’s a liner lock you release with a button on the scale instead of pushing the liner with your thumb, so your fingers stay out of the blade path when you close it. The blade opens with thumb studs on either side, which works for both hands.

M390 Blade and Titanium Liners

The 2.92-inch blade is Böhler M390, heat treated to 60±1 HRC, with a flat grind and a satin finish on the Silver and Gray models. Stock is 2mm, or 0.08 inches, which makes it a good slicer for boxes, food, and string. M390 is a high-end powder steel that holds an edge a long time and resists rust well; the trade is that it takes longer to sharpen than softer steels.
Inside, Kizer uses skeletonized Ti-6Al-4V titanium liners instead of steel. That’s where most of the weight savings comes from, and it’s why the knife lands around 2 ounces even with metal scales.

Two Alternatives

The CIVIVI Elementum C907C-DS3 gets you a 2.96-inch Damascus blade and a carbon fiber and resin handle for less money. It’s a flipper with a liner lock and weighs 2.74 ounces, so it’s heavier than the Kizer and thicker in the pocket. It’s the pick if you want a flashier knife at this size.

The Benchmade Mini Bugout 533 is lighter still at 1.5 ounces, with a 2.82-inch CPM-S30V drop point blade and Benchmade’s AXIS lock. The Grivory plastic handle feels very different from the Kizer’s aluminum, and it costs more.

Who Should Buy the Drop Bear 292 AirTi
Buy it if you want a small, metal-handled knife with premium steel that you’ll forget is in your pocket. At $129, M390, titanium liners, and a button lock in a 2-ounce package is a strong combination.
Skip it if you want a reversible clip for left-side carry, since the standard version is right-side only, or if you’d rather have the lightest possible knife; the Mini Bugout is lighter, though it costs more and uses plastic scales.
