NOMOS has added Superluminova to the city ring and home-time display of its Club Sport neomatik Worldtimer dark. Both now glow alongside the main hands and hour markers against a black dial.

Reference 793 keeps a 40mm stainless-steel case and a 9.9mm profile, with warm off-white markings around the dial and a red-and-blue border around the home-time display.

Keeping home in view

The central hands show local time. A separate 24-hour display at 3 o’clock keeps your chosen home or reference time in view, with color separating day from night. That’s handy when you’re deciding whether it’s a reasonable hour to call someone several time zones away.

A pusher at 2 o’clock moves the city disc and local hour hand together. You can change the time zone on the main display while retaining that home-time reference. Small seconds sit at 6 o’clock, leaving the center of the dial for the time you need where you are.

The black dial gives the warm-white city ring and numerals a strong contrast in daylight. In NOMOS’s low-light photography, the illuminated ring and home-time subdial become particularly prominent.

40mm wide, 9.9mm thick

Inside is NOMOS’s DUW 3202 automatic movement, with the worldtime mechanism integrated into the caliber. The selected sapphire-back version lets you see the decorated movement and the gold globe on its rotor. Power reserve is rated at up to 42 hours.

The 40mm case measures 48mm from lug to lug. It comes on the Club Sport steel bracelet with quick-change spring bars and a 20mm lug width. A screw-down crown supports the 10-atmosphere water-resistance rating, which NOMOS lists as suitable for swimming. A red ring at the crown warns when it isn’t fully screwed down.

NOMOS’s US store currently lists the sapphire-back watch on the Club Sport bracelet at $5,760, with duties included and local taxes potentially added at checkout. The displayed delivery estimate is six months, so this is one to plan ahead for.

If you regularly check the time back home, this version keeps that second clock in the glow without pushing the case past 10mm thick.
