A Bromley You Can Actually Carry
The Bromley 150 measures 290 × 290 × 208 mm. Its handle retracts into the top of the cabinet, making the speaker easier to pick up without leaving a permanent handle sticking out.
At 6.3 kg, it still has some heft. You probably would not choose it for a hike or try to squeeze it into a backpack. For moving between rooms, taking to a friend’s house, or setting up outside, though, its size is the point: bringing a party speaker along no longer has to be its own logistical task.
That smaller cabinet also sets expectations. The Bromley 150 is not likely to deliver the same scale as Marshall’s much larger Bromley models. Its appeal is getting a useful set of party features in a speaker one person can carry comfortably.
Sound Designed for a Gathering
Marshall uses its True Stereophonic design to spread sound around the Bromley 150 rather than directing it only toward people standing in front. That approach makes sense for a party, where listeners move around instead of sitting in one ideal spot.
Inside, a 6.5-inch woofer works with two full-range drivers and a passive radiator. Marshall also puts physical bass and treble controls on the cabinet, so you can make basic adjustments without digging through a phone app.
Those details describe the design, not the listening experience. We have not tested the Bromley 150, so we cannot say how well it maintains clarity at high volume, how substantial its bass sounds, or how evenly it covers a room. The smaller size makes those questions especially worth answering in a hands-on review.
More Than 40 Hours, With Context
Marshall rates the Bromley 150 for more than 40 hours of playback. That is enough, on paper, to cover multiple gatherings without stopping to recharge.
Battery estimates depend on how a speaker is used, however. Higher volume and a running light show can change the result, so the headline figure should not be read as a promise of 40-plus hours at full blast with the lights on.
The battery is removable, and Marshall says a 20-minute charge can provide up to five hours of playback. Those are useful conveniences, but real-world testing will be needed to see how the speaker holds up during a long, loud party.
Outdoor Protection and Party Extras
The Bromley 150 has an IP55 rating, providing protection against dust and water jets. That makes it better suited to places where dust or splashes are a concern than a speaker intended only for dry indoor use. It is not submersible, though, so keep it out of the pool and take sensible care around water.
Behind the front grille, Marshall has fitted stage-style lights that respond to the music. The controls sit on the side of the cabinet, leaving the front for the drivers and lighting.
The more versatile additions may be the two XLR/6.35 mm combination inputs. Each has its own volume and effects controls, giving you a way to connect microphones or instruments for casual karaoke, announcements, or an impromptu performance. That does not make the Bromley 150 a replacement for a dedicated PA system, but it lets the speaker do more than play a Bluetooth playlist.
