Apple’s Education Store already knocks roughly 5-10% off retail pricing for students, faculty, and staff. Here are the starting prices with education savings:

Those prices already include the education discount. The gift card is stacked on top. So a MacBook Air at $1,199 comes with a $100 gift card: you still pay $1,199 up front, but you walk away with $100 to spend on accessories, AppleCare, apps, or anything in the Apple Store.
Who Qualifies
The Education Store is open to current and newly accepted college students, their parents, faculty, staff, and homeschool teachers of all grade levels. Apple verifies through UNiDAYS for online purchases, but you can also buy in-store with a student ID.
One important change this year: there are no free AirPods with purchase. The 2026 Back to School offer is gift cards only. Apple has reverted to the gift-card model after last year’s brief detour into bundled accessories, which gives students more flexibility in how they spend it.
The Best Deal in the Lineup
The MacBook Pro at $1,899 with a $150 gift card is the strongest value if you actually need the power.
