Fast heating, precise control, and thoughtful design make daily coffee feel intentional.

REVIEW – I’m not a coffee snob by any means. In fact, I didn’t start drinking coffee until I was in my thirties. However, that doesn’t stop me from appreciating a good cup of coffee, especially in the morning. Over the years, I transitioned from using instant coffee to grinding my own beans. Despite this change, I’ve always relied on an inexpensive drip coffee maker. When I had the opportunity to review the Kismile 8-Cup Drip Coffee Maker Machine, it was the perfect chance to elevate my coffee-making experience.

Design and features

kismile 8cupdripcoffeemaker review 3

The Kismile 8 Cup Drip Coffee Maker features a durable, full-aluminum alloy body and a sleek, modern design. As someone with very little kitchen counter space, I also appreciate the machine’s smaller footprint.

The simple design features two color buttons for brewing. A white button for hot brewing and a blue button for cold brewing.

The coffee maker has a modular design. The 1250ml water tank is detachable, making it easy to fill and clean. All removable parts—carafe, filter holder, 8-cup water tank, and shower head—can be easily detached and rinsed for quick cleaning. The carafe and filter holder are also dishwasher-safe.

The removable filter holder is magnetically held in place, making it easy to remove. It features an anti-drip design and an auto-stop safety feature that stops brewing if the funnel is removed.

Setup

Using the Kismile 8 Cup Drip Coffee Maker is easy as can be. Fill the water tank, place your filter and ground coffee into the filter holder, and press the brew button. That’s it!

Performance

The Kismile 8 Cup Drip Coffee Maker performed as advertised. The water heated up within seconds, and the coffee started to brew. In just under 5 minutes, I had a whole pot of perfectly brewed coffee. It did take me a couple of days to dial in the right amount of grounds to get the flavor I wanted. Still, once I did, the Kismile 8 Cup Drip Coffee Maker has produced a whole pot of great-tasting coffee every time.

One thing I would change is the keep-warm feature. It works great at keeping the coffee warm without scorching it; however, the 40 minutes is short. It would be nice to manually control how long it keeps the coffee warm.

Cold brew

kismile 8cupdripcoffeemaker review 10

If you love iced coffee, the deep cold brew mode slowly infuses coffee for 20 minutes, resulting in a smoother flavor. Using this mode is similar to brewing regular coffee, except you need to fill the water tank with cold water (between 39 and 50ºF).

I had never tried cold brew coffee before, so I was eager to give it a shot. It took about 16 minutes to brew a 4-cup pot. However, the results were not what I expected. The coffee was cold, but it seemed a bit weaker than I anticipated. I believe the issue was due to user error rather than a problem with the machine itself. Unfortunately, there are no detailed instructions for the cold brew feature. Like the hot brew feature, I think it just takes some experimentation to find the right amount of coffee and adjusting the flow rate to achieve the desired results.

Final thoughts

kismile 8cupdripcoffeemaker review 11

The Kismile 8 Cup Drip Coffee Maker is everything you could want in a premium coffee maker. It has a premium aluminum build, fast heating, and brews at that perfect 196 to 205º F, so you get a full pot in under six minutes. And if you like cold brew coffee, this coffee maker has you covered. If you’re in the market for a new coffee maker, this machine should be at the top of your list.
