Holy smokes, folks. Apple’s AirPods 4 just crashed down to $85 at Amazon (normally $129). That’s 35% off and matches the lowest price we’ve ever seen. If you’ve been eyeing these but couldn’t justify the full price, now’s your moment.

Why I’m Actually Excited About This Deal
Here’s the thing. I reviewed these for Yanko Design, and they genuinely surprised me. Apple completely redesigned the fit using 3D scans of 50 million ears (yes, really), and the difference is huge. “I found they sit in my ears more reliably now, whether running to catch a flight, working in the kitchen, or rowing on the exercise machine.” They just stay put without that annoying constant readjustment you get with older AirPods.
The comfort is next level. These are open-ear earbuds with no silicone tips, so you can wear them all day without that jammed-in-your-ear-canal feeling. Perfect if you’ve ever pulled earbuds out after an hour because your ears hurt.
Sound quality? Way better than expected for open earbuds. “The audio is crisp, with richer bass and clearer highs than anticipated, detailed and nuanced especially with Dolby Atmos mixes.” The custom high-excursion driver and high dynamic range amplifier punch way above the $85 price point. These don’t sound like budget earbuds.
For calls, they’re fantastic. “Calls are clearer, too. The Voice Isolation feature works wonders by filtering out background noise. The AirPods 4’s open-ear design prevents that clogged feeling, and my voice sounded natural and comfortable.” Your voice sounds natural, not like you’re talking underwater.
The Apple integration remains unbeatable. Pairing is instant when you open the case near your iPhone. Switching from iPhone to MacBook mid-call? No problem. It just works. Plus, they finally switched to USB-C, so you can use the same cable as your iPhone 15 or 16. Battery life clocks in at 30 hours with the case, which means you’re not constantly hunting for a charger.
The Good and The Not-So-Good
PROS:
- Completely redesigned fit that actually stays put
- Crazy comfortable for all-day wear (no silicone tips!)
- Super secure fit for running, working out, whatever
- Apple integration is still the best in the business
- Sound way better than they should for open earbuds
- 30 hours of battery with the case
- Call quality is excellent with Voice Isolation
- Finally switched to USB-C
CONS:
- Open-ear design means less noise isolation than sealed earbuds
- No silicone tips means no custom fit options
- Fit might work differently depending on your ear shape
- Fewer touch controls than AirPods Pro
- Android users, you’ll miss out on most of the cool features
- No advanced features like AirPods Pro 3
Should You Buy These?
If you’re deep in the Apple world and hate silicone tips jabbing into your ears, this is a no-brainer at $85. Perfect for people who take lots of calls, work in moderately noisy environments, or just want earbuds that don’t make your ears sore after an hour. The improved fit and comfort make these way better than previous standard AirPods.

Skip this deal if you need serious noise isolation for flights or extremely loud environments. The AirPods Pro 2 are still better for that, but they cost almost twice as much. Android users should also look elsewhere since you’ll lose most of the magic.
Bottom Line
Look, I wrote in my Yanko Design review that “If I hadn’t been provided a pair to review, I’d 100% purchase one myself, especially for the open-ear design, seamless integration, and everyday convenience they bring.” At $85, that’s even more true. This is a legitimately great deal on earbuds that punch way above their weight.
