Is the SURIV iPhone Spray Case the dumbest idea ever?

NEWS – Hey gadget fans! It’s me, Julie, and after writing about gadgets since before some of you were born, I’ve seen it all. Or so I thought… Then I saw the SURIV iPhone Spray Case.

What is it?

The SURIV iPhone Spray Case is an iPhone case with a built-in refillable sprayer. You can fill it with hand sanitizer, bug spray, sunscreen, or even your favorite perfume. The case is designed to be lightweight, shock-resistant, and leak-proof. It also has antimicrobial properties and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Who would actually want this?

I’m scratching my head here. I just don’t get it. I mean, do we really need a tiny spray bottle attached to our phones?

Here’s the thing:

• It’s bulky. I like my phone to be slim and easy to carry. Adding a spray container makes it thicker and less pocket-friendly.
• What about leaks? SURIV says the case is leak-proof, but I don’t know. Would you want to risk spraying sunscreen all over the inside of your purse?
• Is it even useful? How often do you need a tiny spritz of something when you have your phone?

Maybe I’m missing something, but the SURIV iPhone Spray Case seems like a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. I’d rather carry a separate small bottle of whatever I need than bulk up my phone with this thing. What do you think? Am I being too harsh? Let me know in the comments below!
