Performance
Before starting my listening experience with the MIXX StreamQ C4 – Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones, I charged them overnight.
When powering the MIXX StreamQ C4 – Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones on/off they provide audible verbal confirmation. To maintain a level playing field, I followed the same testing model that I used with the previous sub $100 brands and models I tested, and I listened to tracks like “All in Love is Fair”, “Distant Lover” and “I Want You” by Michael McDonald. Next, on the list I listened to “Europa” by Gate Barbieri, “Winelight” by Grover Washington Jr., and “Angela (theme from ‘Taxi’) by Bob James. Then as I did before, it was on to some Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, the Flamenco genre with tracks like Govi’s Andalusian Nights and Mariah Carey.
Overall, I do not have anything really negative to say about their performance, but IMHO while the low frequency is adequate, the mids and highs lack some of the presence that would provide a fulfilling sound. I understand that these are not audiophile headphones and I have to be fair that at the price point, they are a good value for daily listening headphones as you go about your daily activities.
Phone conversations are clean and clear, and the headphones are lightweight and comfortable for long listening.
What I like about the MIXX StreamQ C4 – Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones
- They are very comfortable
- They provide adequate volume
- They pair easily and maintain the connection
- They are foldable
What needs to be improved?
- The frequency response and presence for mids, and highs
Final thoughts
The MIXX StreamQ C4 – Wireless Headphones – Noise Cancelling Headphones are extremely comfortable to wear and I think they are a good value for their $50 price. IMHO, they lack a certain frequency presence and detail primarily across the mids and highs. They will work for many people as on-the-go headphones.

I appreciate the review of cheaper headphone options. I need something more for the calls than for quality audio so a decent headphone/mic with a good battery life is important.
