NEWS – At the Gadgeteer, we open a lot of boxes, so after an exhaustive search for a razor blade holder I personally purchased the Exceed Designs Tirant Razor V3 last year and loved it so much that I did a full review on it. Well, Josh the owner and creator of Exceed Designs based in my home state of Washington, saw the review and contacted me and mentioned he was working on a high-end knife.
After a year of waiting it is finally here. The Avair by Exceed Designs features a 3.25″ M390 steel drop point blade with a gorgeous 6AL-4V titanium handle measuring 4.23″. It comes it at a svelte 3 ounces, sports a flipper opening with a frame lock, and is only .40″ wide. You can elect to have micro slash milling on the scales and keep it natural blasted titanium or add jet black PVD/DLC coating. If the brass-caged ceramic bearings aren’t slick enough for you, you have the option to get premium SKIFF bearings. The Avair has taken Josh over two years to perfect and it was well worth it. The Avair is a timeless and minimal high end folder. It is art in knife form, and I can’t wait to get mine.
