REVIEW – Between my wife’s asthma and my 3D printing and laser engraving, our house needs a fair amount of air filtration. WELOV offered to send me a couple of their air purifiers, so I gladly took them up on the offer.

Design and features
The WELOV P200s and P100 are similar air purifiers that filter 99.97% of harmful ultra-fine particles of 0.1 microns and smaller such as pet hair, pet dander, pollen, dust, smoke, and odor. A medical-grade HEPA filter ensures clean air during allergy and wildfire season.
The WELOV P200s is a bit larger than the P100, and also includes an Air Quality display and an auto mode. The Air Quality display indicates parts per million cubed, and a color indication of air quality: 1-50ppm Clean, 50-100ppm Polluted, and greater than 100ppm highly Polluted. During the auto mode, the P200s will automatically change the fan speed based on these air quality readings.
A child lock mode ensures children and pets won’t accidentally change the settings. Also, both units feature a timer function. The P200s can be set for 1 to 12 hours in 1-hour increments, whereas the P100 can be set to run for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hrs.
Both air purifiers feature a Sleep Mode, which operates as low as 23dB for whenever you need quiet operation. The Sleep mode is perfect when you need filtration, but don’t want bothersome noise. Personally, I prefer a bit more ambient noise. Both units operated at about 62dB at arm’s length when at full fan power, however, the P100 seemed to be louder to me.
The touchscreen display on both units is easy to read and operate. The P200s has separate on-screen buttons for the fan speed, whereas the P100 has one that you repeatedly tap to change between the three levels of fan speed. Each have power, nighlight, sleep mode, filter replacement, child lock, and timer function buttons.
The P200s draws air in from the front and back, while the P100 draws air from the sides. Both units expel the filtered air out of the top of the machine, so you don’t have to worry about it blowing air on you if it’s next to your bed or desk.
Both units have an easy-to-replace filter. A simple turn of the panel and the filter is easily removed. The replacement filters are affordable also, at about $35.99 for the P200s, and $24.99 for the P100.
The WELOV P200s features a permanent power cord and the P100 uses a 12V Type-C adapter and connector. I tried to run the P100 off of my power unit’s type-c output, and I did not get it to work, but I’m not entirely sure if the type-c cable I had was capable of the 12v power requirement.
The HEPA filters consist of several layers. The pre-filter filters large particles such as dust, lint, and hair. The HEPA portion filters 99.97% of harmful ultra-fine particles of 0.1 microns. The activated carbon layer filters odors and smoke, and organic compounds such as formaldehyde, ammonia, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
My wife really likes the P100 in our bedroom, as she has breathing problems from time to time and the P100 always ensures there’s good air around her while she sleeps. I placed the P200s in my office to filter the air around my 3D printers. I like the fact that it has an auto mode that will raise the fan speed when needed.

Final thoughts
Overall, the WELOV air purifiers are exactly what I needed and expected. They run quietly and have an affordable filter replacement. The design is attractive and functional. I especially like the top exhaust feature, as I don’t like air blowing out the front.
