NEWS – Professional audio manufacturer Shure has announced an upgrade to their Aonic 215 true wireless earphones. The new AONIC 215 True Wireless Sound Isolating Earphones add water resistance, hardware EQ, auto power on, and onboard button to the previous model, in addition to the excellent sound quality and passive sound isolation features.
Water resistance is rated at IPX4 so they are sweat and water resistant. If you get caught in an unexpected downpour or sweat a lot this will help protect them from damage.
The onboard hardware EQ can be set by the ShurePlus PLAY app, available on the Google Play store and iOS App Store. The neat part about the hardware EQ is that through the app, the EQ settings are stored on the earphones so no matter which device you’re using to listen you’ll have the same EQ profile and sound quality.
Auto power on means the earphones turn on automatically when they are removed from the case. No more fumbling with an on/off button every time you want to listen.
The onboard buttons mean you have control over volume, playback, and calls. Settings can be configured in the ShurePlus PLAY app.
These new features come in addition to the already feature rich original model: Shure’s Sound Isolating technology, detachable cable for connection to wired headphone jacks including airplane entertainment systems, Environment Mode to hear the sounds around you, and Shure’s legendary audio quality.
Shure’s AONIC 215 True Wireless Sound Isolating Earphones are available to order today for $229. Head to shure.com for more information and to order.
