Design and features
The SYNCO G2 A2 is a very easy-to-use wireless lavalier microphone system. The two transmitters can be used for stereo audio or placed into mono mode if you desire to blend the audio or use just one transmitter.
The supplied carrying case is a semi-soft-sided zippered pouch that is quite nice. It has spots specifically molded for the transmitter and the receivers as well as a mesh pocket for the cables and microphones.
Let’s start with charging the devices. The Synco G2 A2 system comes with a 3 in 1 charging cable (USB-A to three Type C outputs), allowing you to charge all three devices simultaneously from one USB port. I really like that feature. The Synco G2 also features quick charging technology. You can charge them to 50% power in 40 minutes and 80% in 1 hour.
Turning on the transmitter and the receivers automatically pair the devices, making it very quick and easy to start recording. Plug them in, turn them on, and you’re ready to go – it doesn’t get much simpler than that.
The transmitters have a built-in microphone and a detachable wind muff that snaps on and off. The included lavalier microphone also has a foam windscreen and lapel clip. The lavalier microphone plugs into the transmitter via a standard 3.5mm TRS jack. The transmitters have three buttons: On/Off/Mute, Gain, and Pairing. The transmitter’s color screen shows the pairing status, channel (A or B), battery level, and audio level.
The receiver has standard 3.5mm TRS jacks for the audio output to your recording device and a headphone jack for monitoring the audio. There is a power/mono/stereo button and separate buttons for adjusting each channel’s gain level. The same incredible color screen displays battery level, the audio level of each channel, and the stereo/mono mode status.
The Synco G2 also utilizes the Syncoder Encrypted Transmission Algorithm 2.0, which automatically switches and assigns the optimal frequencies with Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technique before conflicts occur.
The transmitters and receivers feature an 8-hour battery life and are incredibly lightweight at just 1.38oz. (38g) The clip on the back can be used to clip the devices to clothing or other gear, and they also slide into a standard camera hot-shoe (flash mount).

What I like
- Easy to Operate
- 3 in 1 charging cable is awesome
- Easy to read True-color TFT Display
- Real-time monitoring of the audio levels from both the receiver and transmitters
- Built-in Mic w/ external Mic capability
- USB-C charging ports
What needs to be improved
- A 1/4″-20 screw mount for the receiver would provide additional and more secure mounting options
Final thoughts
Overall I’m very pleased with the SYNCO G2 A2 system. It has been easy to operate and provides excellent audio quality. The system is quick and easy to charge and stores nicely in the supplied soft case. The controls are easy to use, and the color screens provide easy-to-read status and level indications without any needless information.

I just received my Synco G2PRO. I noticed that after 5 minutes or so, the transmitter mic shuts off. Did you have a similar problem?
