Model O minus 1

REVIEW – I’m a fervent computer user but a casual gamer who’s addicted to RGB lights and peripherals. For the few games that I play on my PC I enjoy using a good mouse that glides along my mat and has a good response time during game play. I was able to try the Glorious Model O minus gaming mouse, so let’s take a look!

Design and features

The Model O minus mouse has a honeycomb cutout shell for the body, and is the way Glorious PC Gaming is able to achieve a feather-light weight mouse while maintaining a durable body. As mentioned above, it weights about 2 oz, so it’s extremely lightweight and easy to pick up and move around.

The braided cable on the mouse is lightweight and very flexible. It’s easy to keep out of the way and not get caught on the mouse pad or other things on your desk. The skates on the bottom of the mouse are very smooth and allow the mouse to glide easily over my mouse pad.

Model O minus 8
The Model O minus is named so because of the smaller version of the original Model O mouse. It measures about 2.28 in x 2.48 in from the top and 4.72 inches tall. I have medium sized hands and it felt really great in my palm! Normally “regular” sized gaming mice are a bit too large for me to get a comfortable grip, so for me this mouse was a joy to use.

Performance

The Model O minus has optional software (For Windows) to install if you want to customize/fine tune the DPI settings, RGB lighting and set up macro keys. I loved playing with the RGB settings as well as switching my side buttons to control my media player. The options available include lighting effects and advanced options for USB polling rate and debounce time.

What I like

  • Size of mouse is great for my hand size
  • Super smooth gliding on mouse pad
  • Clicking is nice and responsive
  • Awesome look and design

What needs to be improved

  • I wish the mouse was a tiny bit wider in size

Final thoughts

Overall I really enjoyed the Glorious Model O minus mouse! It feels fantastic in my hand, easy to grip, I love extra fun colorful affects next to my other RGB peripherals, and for the price, this is an easy recommended purchase. I also really like that you can choose from two different sized models (regular Model O and this Model O minus) as well as four different finish combinations – matte black, matte white, glossy black and glossy white.

  2. With all those surface cutouts to hold gunk from a hand, this looks like a non-starter. It would be a nightmare to clean.

    1. I have an original release matte white model o, put it though its paces and clammed up my hands a bit every so often.

This mouse is highly resistant to grime as I’ve not had a single gross spot on it. I also tend to wipe all my mice with a damp rag at least once a day to get any oils out before gunk up. Unlike my keyboard that gets full of hair, dead skin, and oils.
